Meet Captain Rich
At the helm of Tico Outdoors is Captain Rich, a 100-ton USCG Licensed Master with over 50 years of experience on the water. As the owner of Miss Jo Charters, he has dedicated his life to the maritime industry, focusing on safety, education, and exceptional on-the-water experiences.
While proudly based out of Edisto Beach, SC, Captain Rich and his team offer the ultimate convenience by traveling directly to your home port to train you on your own vessel. Don't have a boat yet? No problem. Tico Outdoors can arrange a training vessel so you can master the helm while you shop for your dream boat.
Beyond civilian instruction and chartering, Captain Rich brings a wealth of specialized training to every lesson. He is a highly experienced Rescue and Fire Boat operator, giving his students the ultimate peace of mind when they step aboard.
